“Surreal In Nature” Series
This is an ongoing series that I started in 2015. As a freelance artist, I’ve spent many years creating illustrations and designs for a wide variety of clients. In 2013 an art gallery (Side Street Studio Arts) opened nearby my studio. They had an open call for art that I created a piece for and for the first time I was showing art in a gallery.
Growing up, I’ve always felt a strong connection with nature, as well as a healthy appetite for fantasy. The answer to the question “What do I want to paint?” became clear and started me down this strange journey into the surreal. I promised myself that once I completed 40 paintings I would host my own solo art show. There are dozens and dozens of ideas in sketch books just waiting for their turn on the canvas, so check back soon to see the latest works!
